I continue to also practice psychotherapy in the state of Maryland where I am licensed to practice. Coaching is not counseling or therapy. If psychotherapy is better suited for you and you live in the state of Maryland, I will be able to take you on as a client.
There are many approaches for change. Together we can access what will be the best approach for you, as we are all individuals with different ways of learning and needs. If you do not live in the state of Maryland, I will help refer you to a discipline that is best suited for you.
What makes me different? I am licensed in the state of Maryland and may see clients virtually online or by phone if desired. Today’s technology has provided Skype, Face Time and Telephone conferencing to make this possible. Over the years I have developed a specialty in working with clients with disabilities and their families due to the convenience and ease of my virtual practice. Virtual Therapy can also help all clients eliminate the stress and expense of traveling to their appointments.
My approach is integrative using cognitive/behavioral, solution-focused approaches and family systems. I have been a therapist for over 25 years and have worked with a variety of clients that come from diverse, cultural and ethnically backgrounds.
As a family, couple and individual therapist, it is my role to help clients facilitate changes that will alleviate the problems they are experiencing and thus enhance their lives. Combining insights and understanding of their problems through behavioral changes, are vital to personal and professional growth. This is a key component of my approach. I provide my clients with support and feedback to help resolve current problems and deal with long-standing patterns. My goal is to establish a safe, secure and trusting relationship.
There are many challenges in life, so together we will work to find the solutions needed to improve your life and explore the challenges and psychological issues that will make this happen. It’s OK to reach out for support and encouragement and to know that you are not alone. I will be here to travel this journey with you.
You are free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org to ask additional questions to help you determine if I am the right therapist for you.
